The hidden half of domestic violence

How to have eternal life

TEARS

Tears are very important in human emotions. They can be a result of
several things. Although there are some that use tears to control
and manipulate, for the most part, tears show great sadness, pain or
even joy.

Tears release important hormones that help relief stress. This is
why we should not try to tell anyone that they should not cry. Yet,
some cry to get their own way. We have seen it in movies and sit-coms. Although we do need to discuss this aspect sometime, tonight I
want to talk about the tears we shed when we are in pain or are sad.

Often when we are in pain either physically or emotionally, tears
will flow. When a loved one becomes a treasured memory, tears will
be present. When someone we love hurts, we hurt too and tears will
be present. Please know that God does take notice of these tears and
not one precious drop is wasted. EACH teardrop you have shed has been
saved my friend.

Psalm 56
8 Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle:
are they not in thy book?
9 When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I
know; for God is for me.

Tears can often lead to better things:

2 Kings 20:5
Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith
the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I
have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou
shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.

Psalm 126:5
They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

Isaiah 25:8
He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away
tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take
away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.

Someday, there will be no more tears.

Revelation 21:4
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be
no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any
more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Often, when we are in great pain, either from physical problems or
from the burden of real intercession on behave of someone else, we
will find ourselves unable to pray. We just do not have words for
it. My friend, do not despair. God knows the need. HE knows the
intent of our heart and HE bottles each of these tears and I believe
HE does count them as some of the most serious prayers we can send up
to HIM. He knows the moaning and groaning of our hearts.

Acts 7:34
I have seen, I have seen the affliction of my people which is in
Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver
them. And now come, I will send thee into Egypt.

Romans 8:26
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not
what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh
intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Remember Real Men cry too…the shortest verse in the Bible is JESUS
WEPT!

If you know someone that is hurting, often the best thing we can do
is to just sit with them a spell, often not saying anything…just
being there…and helping them cry….

They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
