The hidden half of domestic violence
A Fresh Anointing with New Oil
Fill my cup Lord,
I lift it up Lord
Come and quench this thirsting of my soul,
Bread of Heaven feed me till I want no more fill my cup,
Fill it up and
make me whole.
This morning as I drove home, a little bell dinged on my dash and a little light
lit up. It said "low fuel" I knew I could not go much further. I had
to stop and refuel.
Yesterday, I had a more serious warn. I was running on low fuel. You see,
Christians often have one of two problems. WE keep taking in and not
giving out. This is sort of like the dead sea. It brings water in from the sea
but it has no outlet. It does not give out. Everything died within it because
it could not live. My mom use to do that. She would watch Christian TV, go to
all the church services take notes like crazy, but never give it out. This is
sort of like being so heavenly minded we are no earthly good. God intends for us
to GIVE what we have learned. In fact we are told to teach others what we have
learned....to comfort others with the comfort HE has given us.
The other problem we have as Christians, is to give without refueling. When we
use a battery we drain it of it's power. In our car, it is recharged as we go.
If something happens that it is not recharged, we have a dead battery. If we
drain a battery too much we can warp the plates within it and the battery is no
good. We burn it out. My low fuel warn light was sounding. It sounded by two
sources. The Lord often confirms His message with more then one source. I have
often found that when I have a problem such as this, others are too. So my
friend I ask...is your "low fuel" warn light on? Are your batteries
running on low? If so, come to the fueling station and be refueled.. I can
assure you His fuel is the HIGHEST OCTANE and we need not worry about being able
to afford to fill up...in fact we can not afford NOT TO!
Perhaps you are one of the ones that have been filling up and have not given
out? If so, start today. Encourage others in THIS club when you see they need
it. Encourage your neighbor or even your wife or husband. Give a SMILE instead of
a frown. Ask the Lord what you can do to ease someone's burden today...and DO
IT.
In closing...Lord we ask YOU right now to
Fill my cup Lord, I lift it up Lord
Come and quench this thirsting of my soul, bread of heaven feed me
till I want no more fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole.
In Your precious name, the LAMB OF GOD we ask
Amen
