Why did God make Me this way?
Once again, I sit here with a heavy heart because today I
have
received an e-mail with some questions. These are questions that
need an answer. I have been answering questions in Yahoo Answers
for the past couple of weeks. This question came from someone that
saw one of my answers.
Subject: Why did God make Me this way?
Message: Are you really a Pastor? if you are please ask God why He
didn't Just let my parents abort me.
why did he let me be born to a mean father and a mother who was
never there. why? why i need to know. why doe he hate me?
Why am i different from all the others? where was God when i was
getting raped where? where was he
I asked if I could post this question on our board (this person is a
member here now) because I do feel there are others that have these
same questions but may be afraid to ask. They deserve...they need
answers. Although I have answered similar questions and have them
on the Shattered Men website, I will only give the links to those
but will answer this one also.
Am I a real pastor? Yes I am an ordained pastor but I would be
doing the same thing even if I were not ordained by society's
standards. One of the reasons I have been ordained is to open doors
that would not normally be opened for me. I have been able to visit
jail inmates with the same privileges their lawyers have...that is
without the glass or other dehumanizing but perhaps necessary
barriers between us. I do not use "pastor" often in things other
then official communications on behave of this ministry such as the
letter I wrote to GasAmerica. Often society wants some credentials
so they know we are a real ministry, after all, anyone can start an
internet group. I have seen other ministries start but fade away
after a few months. Shattered Men has been here six years now and
we are here for the long haul.
Now on to the more important questions:
Why didn't He didn't Just let my parents abort me.
My precious friend, GOD knew all about you from the beginning of
time. Read what God says about YOU!
Psalm 139
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:
marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret,
and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy
book all my members were written, which in continuance were
fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is
the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand:
when I awake, I am still with thee.
Did you catch that my friend...really catch it... you are
wonderfully made...and The GOD of all creation says about YOU....How
precious also are thy thoughts unto you... that these precious
thoughts are more in number then the sands of the sea. GOD cares
about you and HE loves you so very much.
Jeremiah 29:11 says "For I know the thoughts that I think toward
you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you
an expected end."
I will explain more about this in a few moments.
Why did he let me be born to a mean father and a mother who was
never there.
God certainly did not want this to happen. He wants all children to
have parents who love them and who will teach them about HIM. In
fact, GOD has commanded parents and fathers especially to teach
their children about HIM throughout the day such as when we see a
sunset when we could say...WOW...Look at what GOD did
tonight....Isn't HE great? The Bible does tell us that ALL good
things come from God. My friend...YOU came from God and that is a
good thing.
Why doe he hate me? Oh Noooo my friend...God does not hate you but
HE sure does hate what has happened to you. In a perfect world,
there would be no pain and certainly not any caused by another's
selfishness. I will not tell you that God could not prevent it. HE
could send a lighten bolt to zap anyone who would hurt a child.
I do know that God has promised we will reap what we sow and I sure
would not want the harvest many will reap. I would not want the
harvest for many of the seeds I have sown. That is where God's
mercy comes in. God has given each of us a free will. It is
perhaps the greatest gift He has given us. The freedom to chose for
ourselves what we want to do. We can do what pleases HIM....or we
can do what pleases us. Some chose to do what they want to do at
the expense of others around them, including children. Still,
although it may not seem like it....God is still in full control.
There never has been an emergency meeting in heaven to figure out
what went wrong. That is what makes God so cool. He is able to
turn what satan intended for evil to good. Many years ago, a boy
was sold to some foreigner as a slave. Later he was working for a
governor when the governor's wife accused him of raping her. I am
sure all of those around there knew he did not do it but they did
not dare say anything. They sort of liked having their heads on
their shoulder. This young man was sent to prison but not too long
after that, he was needed to answer some things for the governor and
to thank him, this man was made the second most powerful person in
this country. This man was named Joseph and you may realize that
God used him to save a nation. You can read about it in Genesis
starting with chapter 37.
Much more recently, a small boy in New York state was kidnapped and
raped on a Halloween night. He kept this to himself for a very long

God did make something good out of that horrible event. You see,
this same person started THIS ministry oddly enough on another
Halloween night six years ago. We have seen so much good as result
of Shattered Men that I now am able to thank God for the events that
resulted in this ministry being started.
Why am i different from all the others? My friend, being different
is a blessing. You are unique. There is no one else like you. You
are one of a kind and one of a kinds are very very valuable. You
are very valuable. God calls you the apple of HIS eye.
Where was God when i was getting raped where? where was he
Where was God when you were being raped? He was right there with
you…and HE was feeling all the pain you were feeling. He detested
what was happening to you even more then you did but as I explained
earlier, He had to allow it to accomplish something that will be
wonderful…if you accept it. Just as a loving parent may have to
allow his or her child to be hurt to set a broken bone or even to
get an injection to prevent a deadly disease, that child may not
realize it, but that painful moment would result in good. Shattered
Men is here because of a very painful moment in time…one that I can
now thank God for.
We may not know what good will be accomplished from what you went
through, but I assure you, that if you turn your eyes upon Jesus, it
will be wonderful. He will give you peace you have never known,
and joy beyond your imagination and all you have to do is to call
upon HIS name. If you have never trusted Jesus to save you do it
