Over the course of the last year, I have written many difficult post for Shattered Men. Many which were important enough to be posted in many of my other clubs. This is again, a very difficult post to write and one that has been in the works for a few weeks. I did write it a week ago and was posting it when my PC crashed and I lost it. I feel this was the LORD now since there is much more garbage that needs to be taken out. It will be a long one too.. Perhaps the longest I have ever personally written.

Last week I was talking to someone that told me a family member who was suppose to have been born again did some awful things. After talking for some time, this person thought what I told them was the greatest thing since sliced bread. The person’s name is not important. I am not trying to hurt this person in any way. The actual conversation at that time is also not important,

A few days later I was in chat with this person again and was asked if I was a "born againner" I have found that often if I am asked that question, nothing good is about to follow. My reply however to this question as " Yes, I am...Jesus Christ said truly I say unto you, unless you are born again you will not see the kingdom of God.

At this time, this person told me to take him/her off my list and left. Much to my surprise I found this post in one of my clubs.

"I have just finished a conversation (if that's what you wish to call it) with ken_for_the_lamb or however his nick appears.

I couldn't handle the "choking" feeling he was giving me as if to say: "This is the way *I* feel and this *IS* the way to believe and if *YOU* don't believe what *I* do, then *YOU* are going straight to hell!".

I don't appreciate, nor do I deserve such treatment from a so-called believer in God & Jesus Christ."

Although this cut through me like a hot knife through butter, some of the replies hurt as much. One posted that it was a small-minded person that said that. (I am not saying this to hurt anyone but so that we ALL will realize the NEED to find out BOTH sides of a story before coming to a conclusion) Of course, if I am small minded, I have great company as Jesus Christ is also since HE is the author of that statement. Others have said this person was anointed and blessed.

I did not want to post a reply although there was an urge to do so. The Lord said HE is our defense and strong shield and He has been. We are told that if we humble ourselves in the sight of the Lord HE will lift us up. This is very true although the lag time can hurt.

Please I am not trying to look like a saint. I am very far from where I should be for as long as I have known HIM. I want to help others that may be tempted to fall into some of the things I am about to expose. For example, I was contacted by someone who asked why I ran this person off. When I told this person to check the profile, I was told that they did tarot cards too. They however knew horoscopes were wrong but did not realize that tarots were a giant step beyond that. I will explain why when I go through the lists.
I had been very concerned for a few days on this post and the replies. I did send a message to the founders although I did not try (to my memory) to defend myself but to express concern. A day or two later I did send an offline message to those who replied to simply check profiles.... A good habit for all of us. About the closest I came do defending myself is to point out that no one bothered to find out from me my side of what happened but this goes right along with my primary ministry...abused men since few bother to find out the man's side of domestic violence. But back to the point. IF anyone checked the profile in this case they would have found:

Metaphysical simply means the broad range of what is called 'new age' these days: ghosts, near-death-experiences, psychics, tarot, UFOs, etc.

I have incredible accuracy when doing readings and 'connecting' with those on the 'other side'.

I will be address each of these interest and pointing out why CHRISTIANS should have NOTHING to do with any of them over the next few posts.

Many of this interest can and do lead to actual demonic possession. This is also why I feel there was such a STRONG reaction to what I said to this person BUT if you are reading this now...YOU CAN BE DELIVERED! If you call upon the Lord and ask Him to save you the demons HAVE to leave. They can not occupy a heart that Christ has come into. In the original post I was going to be talking about all the garbage well collect in our lives and how it affects us...how it keeps us from LIVING a victorious life for the Lord. Things like porno, bitterness, haltered, and a host of other things that hinder us. I know I will miss some so when I am done...feel free to add others.

I do think it is important to start with the things I have posted here.
Deuteronomy 18
9 When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.
11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

There are several banned things in God's word.
A diviner, an observer of times (astrology) an enchanter or one that uses omens, a witch (one who makes use of magic formulas or incantations) a charmer a consulter of mediums, a wizard and a necromancer or one that seeks to interrogate the dead. Lets go through the things posted one by one.

Divination

Paranormal Phenomena means not scientifically explainable : SUPERNATURAL However since we see the things including in "paranormal" are not things that glorify God...it can NOT be from God.

I would like to make one thing clear before going on....Most all of these things have one thing in common...they all are trying to find out about the future. We are told clearly: Matthew 6:34

"Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."

You see, when we trust the One that CONTROLS tomorrow, the One that promised to meet our every need, the One that gives more grace as we need it. we do not need to fear what tomorrow will bring.

Ghosts

2 : a disembodied soul; especially : the soul of a dead person believed to be an inhabitant of the unseen world or to appear to the living in bodily likeness

Of course this is one almost all of us knows about. Ghost are suppose to be the spirits of the dead that are roaming the earth due. What does God's word tell us about this?

Luke 16:

19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

I gather from this that no one can come back from the dead to warn others about what is on the other side. We do know two people that have seen the other side...Lazarus and Paul...but neither of them reported what they saw there. This will be covered more later.

Remember also that Deuteronomy 18 tells us that
necromancer is an abomination to God. When we contact "the other side" we are contacting what we "think" are the dead spirits of our loved ones...but we are really contacting demons.

Psychic Abilities We all know those who report to be psychics. We will be hearing more about them soon as we always find psychics telling what will happen in the new year. However we are told that ANY ability to foretell the future is NOT from God if it is not 100% accurate. The prophets could not be wrong in any way shape or manor. For example, the predications regarding Jesus Christ are so unusually you could place a silver dollar two feet deep throughout the state of Texas and place an "X" on one of them, send in a blind man to go anywhere in the state and find that ONE silver dollar with the X on the FIRST try. This would be easier then Christ meeting the predications regarding Him A prophet is ALWAYS 100% right. Now compare what should happen to those who are not 100% right...

Deuteronomy 18
20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?
22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

(now don't any of you go out and stone one of these "modern prophets")

UFOs and Extraterrestrial Life There are many people who tell about UFO's. There is some reason to believe there are real...BUT where do they come from? It is my view that they are real but they are satanic. I believe satan will use the UFO's for an excuse to explain why so many "Christians" disappear one day... guess it was not a comet coming to take away those people at heaven's gate...but we can be sure the world will be told they are better of with out those fuddy duddy people that we so intolerant of SIN...(they will not use THAT word will they?)

Astral Projection This is also known as "out of body experience. It is called near death. and there are very popular books on this subject. some even sold in Christian bookstores. I think one is called "Into the Light"

Please be aware that in all of these experience all the people said they had a calm feeling and were headed toward a bright light. They often say they saw loved ones. THIS is regardless of what their life was like before this "event". The WORD OF GOD tells us that we MUST be BORN AGAIN. We are also told in Hebrews 9:27

"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:"

This shows that this person's "not this current incarnation." is satanic. There is NO other life time so what you do here counts. There is one exception to this...sort of...if we are born once we will die twice...if we are born twice we will die once.

2 Corinthians 11:14

And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

It seems to me the person they are really seeing at the end of this tunnel is.....

Our LORD tells us that there is NO sin that He can not forgive. If you have been caught up in this...You CAN BE delivered. Call upon the Lord. Ask Him to show you the TRUTH. If we honestly seek the TRUTH we WILL find it and the TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE.

Channeling: process where information from an external source of consciousness is accessed and expressed. Our external source of information should be the ONLY source of TRUTH....THE WORD OF GOD. If ANYONE tells you something that sounds way out...get into the habit of asking them a question...What CHAPTER AND VERSE did that come from. If you are a BORN AGAIN Christian, and you feel the least bit uneasy, remember it it the Spirit of God that is telling you this. If you are NOT a BORN AGAIN person, and someone tells you something about the BIBLE, and you feel uneasy...or you feel a chocking feeling ...it is a spirit alright...but NOT one from GOD. You CAN break the hold of this spirit by asking JESUS CHRIST to come in...NO power is more POWERFUL then even ONE DROP of HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD.

HYPNOSIS

We all know what this is. but it is DANGEROUS. I have seen "Christian" hypnosis but ANYTHING that weakens our consciousness can lead to direct demonic oppression in the Christian, and to possession in the non Christian. I have not had time to research this. but my guess is that hypnosis stems from Eastern Religions.

Reincarnation

 We all know of a famous actress that went out on a limb and said she was reincarnated.

BEFORE I GO ON...PLEASE I BEG YOU. IF YOU ARE NOT A MATURE CHRISTIAN...DO ***NOT*** RESEARCH ANY OF THESE THINGS ON YOU OWN. THEY ARE DANGEROUS!!!!

IF you are contacted by anyone that believes in this or tells you they are OK to do...NO NOT engage them. If you are not a MATURE CHRISTIAN... refer them to the leadership of the club you are in...or someone that can refer them to a person that can handle this type of situation. I repeat. It is just like pornography...we think it will be no harm to look at "just a little" so we know what it is all about...but then we will think we can look at a "little bit more" until we are hooked and we can not find enough.

Reincarnation: We all know of a famous actress that went out on a limb and said she was reincarnated. Often these people can tell amazingly accurate accounts of things that happened in the distant past. Most of us know Patton's feelings of having "been there" before. The reason why this can happen is demons WERE there. They are the ones telling this person about the events in their "supposed" past life time.

I was talking to a pastor in San Antonio some time back. He told me of a few people that were into satanic worship and he said they could communicate just as if they were on a telephone but they were not.. He did ask how they could do this. Well there is an answer. demons (I NEVER will capitalize satan or demons...they do not deserve the honor) demons can possess people and it is these demons that are communication back and forth through these people,

What does the Lord say about Reincarnation? We did post the answer on this when covering near death experience before and (name deleted)

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men ONCE to die, but after this the judgment:

Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

(this verse does not address the state of the dead as far as the spirit is concerned...Isa 14:9-11, Mt 22:32, Mark 9:43-48, Luke 16:19-31, 2 Cor 5:6-8, Phil 1:21-23 and Rev 6: 9-11 ALL show we do exist after death...BUT NOWHERE in the Bible has anyone ever been Reincarnated. Jesus did bring Lazarus back from the dead and a few others were brought back to life (one by Paul I believe) but these were NOT reincarnations. JESUS CHRIST came back from the grave but it was NOT reincarnation. BTW I will be addressing rosiequiz1981's post in 2900 when this is done. Some of the points she has posted are valid.

Look closely at verse 14 above. IF you can not understand the Bible maybe the first step is to KNOW HIM. (however know also that even Peter said Paul wrote some things that were hard to understand 2 Peter 3:16)

The garbage collector. Most of us would not want the job. Most of us feel it is one of the least desirable jobs around. When the garbage collectors went on strike in NYC in the 80's most thought it would not matter. They soon found that they were wrong. Oh things looked OK for a day or two but when it went on, the garbage piled up. Along with uncollected garbage came rodents and insects. There were real fears by the health department of disease. All this for a 9 day strike by the garbage collectors. But it did make people aware of the importance of the garbage collector.

What about another form of garbage? The garbage in our life? Let's look at the garbage we often have on board us...

"inaccurate or useless data" How often are we told by the major garbage PRODUCER that we need this or that to be happy? We have seen ads often enough to see through most of them (but we sure do buy the garbage satan sells us) We see people being told they need this product or that one to be happy only to buy the product and have it fall so short of the claims it was suppose to have done. Most of this is neither moral or immoral. Some things however are not.

Remember the Bible tells us that as we "think" we become. We as humans will make it a goal to reach out to those things we "think" will bring happiness, only to find our hopes and dreams turning to ashes.

Porno and sex ...how often are we told that this is what we need to spice up our life. ANY sexual gratification from ANYONE other then our wife or husband is SIN!  satan paints a pretty picture of all the good things of this but are they good? That person you think is loving you  he/she just USING you to meet their own selfish needs? Remember also, and excuse me for being blunt everyone that he/she has slept with, YOU will be too. We were told we could have "safe sex" Now they say to practice "safer sex" Why? Because there are pores in condoms that are larger then the HIV virus. It is like using a screen door to stop water. It slows the virus down but does not assure they can not and will not get through. to remind you.. HIV causes AIDES. I watched a woman I loved dearly die from this. It was NOT pleasant to see her waste away. I do thank God that she was a Christian and that only a short time before she went to meet her Lord...we were able to have Holy Communion together. It was at this time she asked me to conduct her services as she knew the plan of salvation would be presented at it.

55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

OH death...were is thy victory....It has been conquored by the BLOOD OF THE LAMB!

"inaccurate or useless data" How much of the things of this world clutter your mind? How much of your thinking conforms to the Word of God. We are told that the way we "think" determines the way we ACT.

Proverbs 23
6 Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainty meats:
7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
8 The morsel which thou hast eaten shalt thou vomit up, and lose thy sweet words.

That is one reason porno is NOT harmless. We try it...and we have to progress to stronger and worst things. This happens with all the thought processes we feel we need to bring us happiness. If we think money brings happiness.. we try to get more and more of it. If we think food does we tend to eat more and more.
What about exercise... we know those who do little else but this.

Often when we have been abused as children (this was intended for Shatterd Men originally) we do have false ideas implanted into us about what brings happiness. Abused people often turn to homosexuality or prostitution. Most often they have a very low self esteem. Men will feel women are superior and women will feel men are. Other times when it could be just the opposite. Women who have been abused by men may well think men are the scum of the earth. Men who are abused by women feel women are. ALL of this is GARBAGE that NEEDS to be taken out by the GARBAGE COLLECTOR.

I had several other things to mention but those thoughts have long since been derailed for things God said were much more important.

Many things are OK... but not all things are GOOD.

The next sections will center on the SOLUTION.

THE SOLUTION:

This series has been called the GARBAGE COLLECTOR for a reason. (ok ok...at first it was collecting garages...grin) JESUS CHRIST is our Great Physician.. but I also contend that HE is the GREATEST GARBAGE COLLECTOR. He takes ALL the trash out or at least all the trash we LET Him take out. How does HE do this...first of all...If you are NOT a Born Again Christian...ALL of that garbage is still on board. If you are not "saved" this is how to be saved:
1: We need to realize we have sinned. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God This means we have failed to met the goal of being perfect in order to enter heaven. Few of us would question this.
2: The penalty for the sin that we are guilty of is death. Romans 6:23 tells us The wages of sin is death. (Death is separation. When our body dies, our soul is separated from our body. Eternal death is when we die without doing what is being explained here and then our spirit is separated from God for eternity.
Since the only price we can pay for our own sin is to be separated from God forever, it stands to reason that there is no way we can pay for our sin ourselves. We thus come to the 2nd part of Romans 6:23: but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ the Lord.
3: 2nd Corinthians 5:21 informs us: For he hath made him, who knew no sin, to be sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Jesus Christ, God's only Son became sin for us so that we can be freed from the penalty of sin. What then do we need to do?
4: For GOD so loved the world that HE gave His only begotten Son that whosoever (read YOUR name here) believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Please note the ONLY condition given is that we believe in Jesus Christ for full payment for our sin.

Now if we only learn these facts, even though we may understand that they are true and believe them. that is only knowing ABOUT GOD. How do we KNOW HIM then? It is APPLYING that payment to our account. This would be like having a check to pay a bill and putting the check on a desk. The bill does not get paid because the check was never APPLIED to your account. Once we know and believe the facts pointed out above, the next step is to TALK to God much as you and I would and admit that we have fallen short of what He wants. We recognize that we deserve to be separated from a Holy God. We then tell Him that we know that He has provided a payment for all our sin and this payment was Jesus Christ when He died on a cross. It is at this time we ask God to APPLY THIS PAYMENT TO OUR ACCOUNT. We ask God to credit as PAYMENT IN FULL for all our sin the price Jesus paid for us. It is this step that gives us eternal life. If we do all but this step, we know about God. When we do this step, we will KNOW God and we will have eternal life.

We have several people that are members here that would be more then happy to assist you in this if you want to know for sure that you do have eternal life.

Once you do this step, which is the most important thing you will ever do in your life, then you will have the power to be able to have a right relationship with other people. We will assist you in anyway we can to do this. WE CARE ABOUT YOU!

What if you are born again and still have garbage on board?

As we have found in Shattered Men and many other groups for abused Christians.. at least those who had been abused as children, there is often a lot of hidden garbage on board that will affect us even if we do not think it does.. I know it affected me....

There are clubs for women recovering from rape for those having problems with pornography, those caught in homosexuality and even those Christians thinking of suicide.

satan plants garbage of all sorts in our minds and we do not even realize it is there...just like a dead rat in the wall of our home we know there is a stink but we do not know where it is coming from.

So what about those who have trusted Christ for salvation and still have a lot of garbage on board? Try this form of prayer...it helped me greatly:

 Effective Prayer for Hurting People (of course on Shattered Men)

Often, when we are hurting the most, it is hard to pray. We do not have the words. All we know is that it HURTS. Friends, when this happens we know the Holy Spirit is there interceding on our behave. Romans 8:26 tells us that He makes intercession for us with the groaning that cannot be uttered.
When I am hurting this much or interceding for those who hurt, I often find it helpful to address this type of prayer to DADDY!
Last evening I went to "Daddy" to intercede on behave of a friend. I told Daddy that my friend was hurting and I wanted Him to comfort this friend. We DO have this closeness with Almighty God. He deeply desires it. Romans 8:15 tells us we have the Spirit of ADOPTION whereby we cry ABBY FATHER. This is the same, as "daddy" It shows the closeness God wants from us. Following are some things I find helpful:

Pray as if all our hurts we in a jar. We take the lid off the jar and POUR ALL our hurts out to "Daddy" We tell Him all about everything that is hurting. (it was during one of these times I realized I was bitter at my parents and did not even realize it) Pour all the hurts and anger and bitterness out to Him Clean house and expose every last bit of garbage we can find in our life and POUR it out until we are emotional drained. It would be best to do this when we are in our secret closet. (I can not imagine any of us doing this without needing tissue near by.) When we are emotionally drained, then we wait upon the Lord (Isa 40:31) As we wait, (it may help to have praise music softly in the background) we mediate upon God's Word. We ask God to give new meaning to old hurts during this time.
When we receive the new meaning to these hurts, Praise God for the new meaning. (Often the new meaning comes as satan's lies being exposed as lies. Lies such as his telling us we are no good and no one cares about us. I believed that for years and it was a bunch of lies.) JESUS cared enough about US about me and about YOU that He DIED for us. We can not get any more worthwhile then that.
When we received healing from these hurts, we need to APPLY 2nd Corinthians 1:3,4 and comfort others with the comfort God gives us during these times. God most often shows HIS love to us through other people and that is a blessing folks. One I do not take lightly. He has used many of you to show me He loves me and I trust that many of you have been shown that He loves you through me.
Because HE Lives I CAN face tomorrow!

MORE OF THE SOLUTION

We have seen that much of this takes place due to wrong thoughts. We therefore need to change the way we THINK to correct the problem.

Romans 12
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

It is by the renewing of our mind...that the battle is won. We change the way we think...to change the way we LIVE.

I did say not all of this was wrong...but look at what Paul said:

1 Corinthians 6
11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

"All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient" What a powerful statement that we often over look.

1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

If we follow this verse...much of the garbage would be discarded. I had planed to add things like Rock Music it may not be wrong  (however I feel it is since some of it can lead to demonic oppression esp. the music by those into satanic worship such as KISS but DOES IT GLORIFY CHRIST?

There are many things that are even less harmful then this ...things that are not wrong...but do they follow 1 Cor 10:31... do they GLORIFY CHRIST?

I am not talking about not having fun. Sure we can go to a ball game, we can do many things and still Glorify Christ. We CAN NOT be so heavenly minded we are no earthly good. WE need to really ENJOY life...even more then those around us so that people can see what being a Christian is all about. This does glorify our LORD.

(It many be a good idea for us to do a study of Romans)

Philippians 4

4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

DADDY! Please hear our prayers oh LORD. We have presented some very dangerous problems PLEASE help us to get ALL the garbage out of our life...out of MY life.

Search ME, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

DADDY we ask even more...that you will help those that have gotten into these things...help them to see the need to ask YOU to take the garbage out. Daddy...PLEASE help us to show YOUR love to hurting people. Help each of us to really realize YOU have not told us to stay away from these things to hurt us but to protect us.

DADDY.... we now also ask that you place a hedge of protection over this club...and each and every Christian club these will be placed in. We ask for YOUR protection over the leadership here.. and each member so that we will all glorify YOU

MY Wonderful LORD...Please help us ..help ME to be like YOU!
