The hidden half of domestic violence
We all know we are often given "tests" by
God. Did you know we will never fail His test? No my friend, we will just keep
taking them over...and over....and over until we pass. Lets look at an example.
Suppose you heard about a family moving from Boston to New York. How long should
it take? About 5 hours sound right? Suppose it took 5 months? Something would be
very wrong wouldn't it? Well my friend, Israel moved from Egypt to the Promise
Land. It should have taken a couple of months at the most...but it took 4O YEARS.
GOD took them out of Egypt, but it took this long for them to "want" God to take
Egypt out of them.
One reason it took so long..is that they kept losing their focus on the
GOAL...they kept looking back. When we look back we will get weary...we will get
discouraged. Israel lost sight of the Promise Land and got their eye on the
wilderness and began to mummer. When this happens, we need to remember that Paul
said:
1 Corinthians 10
8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one
day three and twenty thousand.
9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed
of serpents.
10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the
destroyer.

My friend, how long have YOU been taking the very test you are in right now? Do
you want to move on? Do you want to enter the promise land? Remember, you will
not fail that test.....but you will keep taking it over again until you pass it.
How do you pass it? Here are some of the keys:
Jonah 2
1 Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish's belly,
2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me;
out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.
3 For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods
compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.
4 Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy
temple.
5 The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round
about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.
6 I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about
me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God.
7 When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in
unto thee, into thine holy temple.
8 They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will
pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD.
10 And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
(focus on verse 9)
Acts 16
25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and
the prisoners heard them.
26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the
prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's
bands were loosed.
Jeremiah 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me
with all your heart.
Philippians 4
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts
and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are
lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if
there be any praise, think on these things.
9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in
me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
Jesus whispers in our pleasure, but He SHOUTS in our pain. Are you listening my
