How to have eternal life

SIN IN THE CAMP!

My friends, once again, I am writing...from my heart to yours.

These messages are far from easy to write. This is no exception.
For some time I have been burdened about some things. Deeply
burdened for most of you know I have no desire more then to serve My
LORD not out of fear, but for my love for HIM. I also desire to
serve HIM not for rewards but to bring the Lost too HIM for
salvation. It has been my desire to stand at the gate of Hell itself
to turn some away just before they would have entered. I thank God
that this prayer has been literally answered but I want more....more
people to turn away before it is too late. Not only by me...But by
all Christians know the LORD. You see, I have found nothing
that will bring more of a feeling of doing something worthwhile, then
to bring someone to JESUS. I want each of YOU to have this same
feeling too.

There is one thing that is blocking this however.

SIN IN THE CAMP!

We have seen in the message, The Hidden Cost...of SIN! that the sin
of one can cause the whole to be ineffective.
http://www.shatterdmen.com/HIDDEN%20COST.htm

Oh this sin is not only by the average person, but also often by
leadership. We have seen this when we have seen nationally known
ministers of the Gospel fall. I am not saying this to condemn them,
that is not my job, but to remind each of us that satan is out to
destroy. Remember, satan can not destroy GOD...but he sure can hurt
God. How? By destroying those that God loves. satan's first goal is
to keep anyone from placing his or her trust in Jesus Christ for
salvation. This is done in several ways.

One, assure they are abused as early as possible to they do not
believe God even exists for if HE does, HE sure does not care about
us. We even see "good songs" telling us God is watching us...from a
distance. This reinforces a distant uncaring God.

Another step is to confuse us as to God's intentions...that is to tell
us that as a Christian we will never have another problem so when we
see Christians with problems we will think yea...right. I see no
difference. If I will have problems if I accept Christ, why should I.
Well my friend, I have a comforter. I can lean on JESUS and KNOW...oh
how I can KNOW my problems will vanish some day and even now...all is
well between my soul and my God. I know my God is in control and HE
will allow nothing to harm me. It is so sweet to Trust in JESUS

The next step, is to get those that have trusted Christ...God's
kids...to live like the devil so we will look at them and say..."If
that is a Christian...I do not want to be one"

This my friend is what this message is about...Sin In the Camp!

I am in many groups. I have been banned from many for teaching the
need for unconditional love. I have seen many groups and many
churches almost brag about how satan is attacking them. BUT...IS it
satan?

We often wonder why God does not seem to bless our groups, our
churches, our ministries...but CAN HE?

I contend that if there is sin in the camp, HE can not bless us. I
was once talking to a friend who told me that he and his wife were
having problems. He told me that it seemed that if she did something,
it was OK but if he did it, well, sparks flew. He told me it was
like double standards. I told him that there WERE double standards
in that situation and they were put there by GOD. You see, his wife
was not a Christian and he was the KING's kid. God therefore placed
a much higher standard on him then HE did his wife.

Luke 12:48 tells us " For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall
be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they
will ask the more." Timothy also tells us the requirements of
leadership. Although the context is the local church leadership, I
believe we can apply it to any Christian group or organization.

Most of you know I feel the moderators or leadership in any ministry
has an even higher standard to follow. I hold myself to still a
higher standard. In the message "It's Me It's Me Oh LORD".........
post 403 here in Shattered Men I was ready to step down from
leadership because I failed that standard.

YET...there is SIN in the camp. Many of GOD's kids are living in
WILLFUL sin. They are often willfully living in wrong relationships
either by looking to someone other then their husband or wife to meet
needs only their spouse should be meeting. Others willfully live in
conflict with their families. There are many ways to have sin in the
camp but I want EACH of US, starting with ME...to ask God once again
to turn the spot light of the Holy Spirit on US...and to examine
ourselves fully, every crack and crevice to see if we have sin on
board. Most often the sin stems from the same three root causes:

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh,
and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the
Father, but is of the world.

The Bible tells each of us to take heed least we think we are strong
and will not fall that we keep seeking HIM so we do not fall. In the
context of this ministry, I have often had to consol those that have
had problems with sexual sin. My friend, we do not have to DO
something with another person to fall into this. Often, it can start
with helping someone, but there is a difference between helping
someone seeking our help, then there is for us to go actively looking
for those we can "help" by discussing sexual sin. Even at that, we
should not look for the details of such things. If we ever start to
feel excited in any way...STOP. STOP....seek God's help. Search
your motives and if they are not pure, find someone else to help this
person. ANY sexual gratification obtained by someone other then our
spouse....is SIN! We need to ask God to help us see sin as HE sees
it...

We SEE...We WANT and we go after it right or wrong. It is PRIDE that
causes us to think we will not get caught...but the Word of GOD tells
us our sin will find us out. We are told the things we do in secret
will be revealed openly...UNLESS we confess it to God and ask
forgiveness.

My friends, lets get sin out of our camps...out of our life. I am
going to post this as it is as I do not have time to finish it as I
would like, but I feel someone needs this message ASAP.

In closing...this applies as much today...as when it was written:

2 Chronicles 7:14 if my people, who are called by my name, will
humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their
wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin
and will heal their land.
