The hidden half of domestic violence

How to have eternal life

The Rescuer

When I lived in Texas, we had headline news for a month regarding a
health care worker who worked in pediatrics. It seemed that about 9
out of 10 times when a code was called on one of the babies, it was when this person was working and she found the baby. She was the heroine. Except, over a dozen times, the code was not successful.

The hospital personal did start to notice something. Almost all the
codes occurred when she was on duty and she is the one that found
them. Needless to say, something did not add up. When it did add up,
it added up to a lot of years as a prison nurse for this person.

You see, she needed to be the hero. She loved the "good job" she got
when a baby was brought back to life so much so that she fully
overlooked the fact that the reason the crisis occurred in the first place, was her doing.

There are times we see that here on the internet and even in our
groups. We have seen some that have created "crisis" so they can be
the hero. We have many very vulnerable people in our groups It
would be easy to pull the rug out from under their feet and then to
be there to give them a hand to help them up. They are then so
thankful for the "friend" that help them up, that they do not even realize it was that friend that pulled the rug out from under them to begin with. There are far too many hurting people to reach so I do not need to create any more.

Oh I realize that some may think my views are fanatical & off beat.
This is the whole reason I do not ask you to listen to me. I do not
want you to look at me. One way we can prevent the above from
happening is to encourage each of you to focus on ONE person and One
person ONLY...JESUS CHRIST.

MY job here is not to "rescue" you but to point to the only one that
can ...JESUS! If you go back over my post, it is my resounding
theme...JESUS.

I do ask each of you that may have felt that the rug was pulled out
from under you to access the situation. Who was on hand to offer a
hand...and whose hand did they offer? If they were not the nailed
scarred hands...they were the wrong hands. Oh Yes of course God uses
people just like us to comfort others. We see this in 2 Cor chapter
one but we HAVE to point to JESUS as the real answer to our needs.
IF we do not point to HIM...we are only putting a band aide on a
cancer.

There are many times that I have purposely pulled the scabs off your
wounds. I will not deny this...but I will not tickle your ears and
tell you what you want to hear...I will NOT tell you the wound looks
good...we can forget it....but I will help you to allow JESUS...to get
deep inside to get all the garbage out.

My friend, my PROMISE to you is:

1 Corinthians 2
1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of
speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus
Christ, and him crucified.
3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much
trembling.
4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of
man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the
power of God.
6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the
wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to
nought:
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden
wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known
it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

My friend, I will NOT promise you that I will never willfully say
anything to "hurt" you...but I will promise never to do anything
intentionally to HARM you. For you see, anytime we speak TRUTH, it
will hurt someone. I have found that for each message of TRUTH that
God has laid on my heart...or so many others have written, that is usually always applies to someone and I have been on the receiving end of some of these messages.

NO I do not like them...but I will not listen with a pitch fork in
hand when I need a catchers mitt. My friend, I do not write anything
here without applying it to myself first.

I will not force myself on anyone nor will I force them to choose
between me and another...in fact, I will not even try to force you to
chose between satan and JESUS. If I am doing my job the way HE wants me to do it...if I am living the way HE wants me to live....the choice
should be easy because you should be able to see who is the friend
that sticks closer then a brother. If I reflect JESUS...I have done
my job.

JESUS....JESUS......JESUS...do you see HIM in ME?

Do others see JESUS in YOU?

Lord, search ME...please search ME with the finest microscope You
have and help others to see YOU in me. LORD, help us to focus on
YOU...for if we turn our eyes upon JESUS...the things of this earth
will grow strangely dim, in the light of Your glory and grace.
