The publisher has
been adding charges to keep this book in print although sales have not even kept
up to pay these fees. Although I took the hard cover off market and paid
the fee to do so last year, I received an invoice billing me for$213.00 to
keep the hard and soft cover in print along with "late charges"
although the first invoice I got from them this year was this one with the
$155.00 late fee attached. To give credit, the publisher did wave $145.00 of
late fees. Although we do have a spam filter on our e-mail, there is a
message that goes out to anyone not on our list to request to be added to the
list so any invoice would have been allowed through had they followed this
simple procedure. Needless to say, I would NOT recommend "A Pleasant Word" or "Wine Press" to anyone!
I do have to wonder if this book would have had a better chance to be a success if it were...POLITICALLY CORRECT!

Jerusalem Daily Special Edition Jesus Arrested/Crucified
Dateline Jerusalem Friday morning
It has been reported that late last night Jesus of Nazareth was
arrested in the garden by the brook Kidron. Our sources report that
one of his own followers betrayed him with a kiss for 30 pieces of
silver which is the price of a slave.
If you remember, this Jesus claims to be the King of the Jews. It
has been widely known that he has performed many wonders such as
making the blind to see, the lame to walk, the deaf to hear and he
even has brought a dead man, one Lazarus of Bethany back to life.
Many also state that Jesus has even claimed to be YHWH in the flesh.
Only a week ago, this Jesus of Nazareth came into the city riding on
an ass at which time the people of the city laid psalms in his path
and cried out "Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh
in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest."
Upon checking, our sources report that Jesus is the son of a common
carpenter, but it would appear that the people of this city were
hoping that this man was the promised Messiah, the one who is suppose
to deliver our people out of bondage once again much as Moses lead us
out of Egypt. It does not appear as this man is that promised
Messiah as word has it at this time that the Chief Priest has ordered
a trial for him right after his arrest.
This came in as this report was being written. Rumor has it that
when he was arrested, one of his followers drew a sword and cut off
the ear of Malcus, the high priest's servant but Jesus told them to
put up their swords and according to reports, Jesus then replaced the
ear as if it never had been cut off. There are even rumors that the
servant had better hearing after the event then he did before but
this can not be confirmed.
Even far more astounding is the reports of the arrest itself. When
approached, Jesus asked who they were looking for. When the priest
said they were looking for Jesus of Nazareth, Jesus replied with "I
AM" At that moment, all those who went to arrest him, including the
Roman soldiers that went with the Pharisees fell down and could not
get up until Jesus told them to.
Now I am not a prophet but I sense some very major events are
occurring right before our eyes and this reporter intends to keep you
informed as they progress. An unidentified source tells us that the
Chief Priest plans on bringing Jesus before Pilate so he can be
Now I am going to take the liberty of reporting personal observations
for a moment and not just reporting the facts as they come in, and I
know it has been a long time since I was in temple, but I remember my
father telling me that Isaiah (53) said this about the coming Messiah:
1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD
2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root
out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we
shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and
acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he
was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we
did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our
iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his
stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to
his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his
mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep
before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare
his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for
the transgression of my people was he stricken.
9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his
death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his
10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief:
when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his
seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall
prosper in his hand.
11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied:
by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he
shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he
shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out
his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and
he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
We will keep you informed of any breaking news in this but I have to
admit, that I do believe this...this JESUS IS the MESSIAH!
Jerusalem. Friday Morning
As reported yesterday, we are following the arrest of Jesus. A lot
has happened since our last report. I have never seen anything like
it in all my years of reporting.
Yesterday, we reported about the arrest of Jesus of Nazareth. He was
then taken before the High Priest, Caiaphas and the Sanhedrin soon
after his arrest in an unprecedented night trial, which to all the
information I can gather is illegal in Israel. I have had very
reliable reports that have asked to remain anonymous that the
prosecution paid some to make false charges against this man. One
said that Jesus said he would destroy the temple and rebuild it in
three days. (We have a report that he did say something like that
but he said it was his body he was referring to)
Eye witnesses tell us that Jesus remained silent before the court
except to say "Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you,
Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of
power, and coming in the clouds of heaven" The Chief priest then
torn his cloths and stated this was blasphemy.
The priest then spat in his face slapped him and mocked him. Never
in the history of Israel have I heard of the priest treating a man
Although during the last 3 years, it has been discovered that 12
other men were always seen any where this man Jesus was, they were no
where to be found last night. Rumor has it however, that one of his
followers was by the campfire last night but when asked about Jesus,
he not only denied knowing him, he literally cursed him. Oddly
enough, this huge fisherman was last seen leaving the area crying
like a baby.
Jerusalem. Friday Mid Morning
It has just been learned that the man that betrayed this Jesus with a
kiss has been found dead. He apparently tried to hang himself but
the rope broke and he fell to his death. This was soon after Judas
returned to the temple to return the silver he had gotten for
betraying his friend. He threw it on the floor when it was not
accepted. According to reports, the money will be used to buy a
potters field, a cemetery for the poor.
Readers, I remember my father telling me about Jeremiah telling
something about 30 pieces of silver that was paid for the Messiah
being used to buy a potters field...could this be.......
MORE late breaking news.
Since the Jews can not carry out a death sentence, Jesus was taken
before the Roman governor Pontius Pilate. Pilate offered to release
one of the prisoners according to Passover tradition and appeared to
want to release this Jesus. The crowd insisted that Barabbas, a
known murder be released. It is believed the priest had their people
in with the crowd to incite them to demand that Jesus be crucified
when Pilate asked what should be done with him. To be honest, for a
moment I too found myself wanting to yell "Crucify him" Many I am
sure were doing so remembered that only last week it appeared this
man was going to deliver us from Roman rule.
Excuse me a moment..things are coming in so fast it is hard to keep
up with them. It is very difficult to write this report. I have
seen things so horrible NO human being should have to endure it.
Romans soldiers were beaten this man after they blindfolded him and
mocked him saying "hail king of the Jews. They pushed a
crown of thorns upon his head. They, they....oh it is so hard to
write this report. I have talked to many that have followed this
Jesus. I have talked to a woman that was going to be stoned until
this man showed so much compassion to her, a mere woman and talked to
crowd about to throw the stones and told them that he who is without
sin should cast the first stone. This women had tears in her eyes as
she remembered each man dropping the stones by his side one by one
and leaving. She remembers well when Jesus looked into her eyes as
if he could see her deepest thoughts and said "where are your
accusers" and said go and sin no more.
I have talked to others that have reported life changing events when
this man Jesus passed by. It seems that NO ONE was left untouched
when he passed by. I even had reports of a man that was
possessed by a legion of demons who made a full and complete recovery
when this man simply told them to depart and go into a herd of
swine. It is odd that even the pigs killed themselves by jumping off
a cliff into the sea when the demons entered them, yet it seems
people are not smart enough to avoid them, often doing things that
invite these demons.
Tears are streaming down my face as I try to report these horrible
events, but there is more, so much more to report.
After the Romans got through beating Jesus, he did not even look
human. His beard had been pulled out. Blood was steaming down his
head and his back while at least what was left of it. Still reports
say he never resisted.
Jerusalem. Friday late Morning.
Jesus was taken out of the courtyard and made to carry the hundred
pound cross beam for his own cross. I talked to a man from Cyrene
named Simon who said that after Jesus fell while carrying that beam
that the Romans told him to pick it up and carry it the rest of the
way to Golgotha. Looking back, he could see the trail of blood Jesus
had left along the Via Della Rosa.
Upon arrival at Golgotha, the Romans had to use several men to place
the other two men on the cross. They of course were fighting for
their lives. On the other hand, it appeared that Jesus laid down on
the cross and willingly extended his arms. It could have taken only
one soldier to drive the nails into his hands and feet. I just got
word that the place of this...this crucifixion is the very same place
that Abraham offered his son Isaac as a sacrifice, the same place
that God himself provided a lamb...Could HE? Could He be providing
another LAMB now?
Jerusalem. Friday Afternoon. The Crucifixion.
I have never witnessed anything like this.
Above Jesus' head was a sign, "This is Jesus KING OF THE JEWS"
The Roman soldiers were casting lots for the garment Jesus wore.
Isn't there something written in scripture that this would be done?
But this can not be about this man for I do remember scripture saying
not a bone of his body would be broken and we know the Romans always
break the legs of the condemned to assure their death. It can not be
this Jesus for his legs will be broken shortly.
One of the men beside him mocked this Jesus and said if you are the
king of the Jews, save yourself and us too. The other said they
deserved their punishment but that Jesus did not. Amazingly, Jesus
promised that man that he would be with him in paradise later that
same day. Jesus asked God to forgive those responsible for this
horrible injustice saying they did not know what they were doing.
Jerusalem. Friday NOON
I have seen times in which the moon has stopped the light of the sun
for a few moments..but never, never like this. From noon to the 9th
hour it was darker then a moonless night. Almost as if the sun
refused to shine. Just before it got dark, I noticed there was not a
cloud in the sky. I wonder.....
Right at the ninth hour, I hear the most pathetic cry I have ever
hear...or ever hope to hear again in my life. This man Jesus cried
out "Eli, Eli, la'ma sabach'thani. For the Romans reading this, it
was My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?
Dear reader, there have been times I have felt lonely and rejected,
but it was nothing like this man must have felt at that time.
Please excuse me if some of the words are misspelled. It is hard to
write as these tears will not stop.
Shortly after Jesus asked God why he was forsaken, he shouted so
loudly everyone around heard...IT IS FINISHED.
He then slumped down and no more movement was seen. Remember,
earlier I said the Romans broke the legs of those condemned. I saw
them to that with the two men beside Jesus. Then they came to Jesus
and a soldier raised the club and was about to break the legs of
Jesus when the centurion stopped him and said do not bother, he is
dead already. Instead, they used a spear and pierced his side.
Blood and water flowed indicating death had already taken place.
Jerusalem. Friday Late Afternoon.
At the very moment Jesus cried out IT IS FINISHED, thunder and
lightening was seen all over the nation. It was the worse storm in
history. I have heard the veil in the temple torn into two.. from
the top to the bottom. Reports have been coming in that graves were
opened and the dead came to life. It was at that time, I saw the
Roman centurion take his helmet off, kneel at the foot of the cross
looking up at it, and I am sure I saw tears in his eyes...a Tough
Roman soldier, one of the elite with tears running down his face
saying, "Truly this was the Son of God"
I know this report is already much to long for the Jerusalem Daily
but one last report, the body was removed and taken to a borrowed
tomb but I have found out that the Chief priest fears that the
followers of Jesus will come to steal the body and then say that he
came back from the dead as he said he would. I doubt this very much
as I have not seen these cowards that left their leader forsaken.
Besides the Romans have placed a guard around the tomb day and night
and I understand they will be there for a week just to be sure the
body stays where it is. To make sure, they have moved at stone so
large it took several Roman soldier to place it in front of the tomb
so no one can get in and they have placed a seal on it that can not
be broken under penalty of death...yet somehow deep inside me, I
doubt of this is all of this story.
Somehow I feel there there is much much more coming.
Some how I feel this story is NOT OVER!
THIS reporter will be watching this tomb for the next few days and if
anything unusual happens, we will report it.
For the Jerusalem Daily
(there is of course more to this story which I will write tomorrow,
but I am so concerned that someone reading this may not have a
tomorrow...so I beg you to read this link and accept the one this is
written about. I have tried to convey in a way we can really
understand it what Our LORD went through that eventful day that
change history. Tears have really flowed tonight in humble adoration
for what HE did for me...for You... If you do not KNOW you have

Jerusalem Daily Special Edition HE'S GONE!!!
HE'S GONE! The body of Jesus is
GONE. Everyone is accusing everyone
else of stealing his body. I am not sure what is happening right now
but I do know I personally have seen his EMPTY TOMB! Let me back up
for a moment.
As I told you, I watched the tomb personally. I was as close as the
Romans would let me get. For the first couple of days nothing
unusual happened. I did use this time to have a copyboy bring me the
copy of the Scriptures our paper has and I have found some very
interesting things which I will tell you about later. But for now
let me tell you this. The Romans double the guard Saturday night
based on what they were told Jesus had said that on the 3rd day he
would rise again. I do not know just how to tell you this. and I am
still trembling myself, but near dawn, ...I need to tell you, the
Romans had there BEST Soldiers on guard at that time, but near dawn,
a very BRIGHT LIGHT CAME FROM INSIDE THE TOMB. It was so bright, the
rocks could not stop it. I can not remember anything after that
until I found myself waking up and as I looked over toward the tomb,
the Elite Roman Soldier's were just picking themselves off the ground
also, and we were all looking at the tomb...the now EMPTY TOMB. The
stone was moved away from, just tossed aside as if it were a mere
Dear readers, I am not sure what happened just yet, but inside the
now empty tomb, the grave cloths were neatly folded as if waiting for
a body. Now as far as this reporter is concerned, if I were to take
a chance on being crucified myself and steal this body, I would not
have folded that cloths neatly like that.
This reporter is presently working on this and we will get back to
you with an extra special edition later today.
For the Jerusalem Daily
Jerusalem. Monday Morning
It has been busy around the temple and at the Roman Army headquarters. Officials have been accusing each other of taking the body of Jesus. Everyone is denying and knowledge of this. The soldiers on guard only confirmed what I stated yesterday. Rumors are all over Jerusalem now that Jesus is not in the tomb. Many are wondering if what this man Jesus said is true. There are three possibilities being presented about why this, this very special tomb is empty. The first is that the Jews stole the body so they can guard it. We all know the temple priest mistrust the Romans. The second, is that the Romans did so. One suggestion has been that the followers of Jesus, apostles I think they call themselves, stole the body. This reporter has given extensive consideration to each of these theories. The first, is that with the rapidly spreading rumor that Jesus was right, the priest, if they took the body could present it and stop these rumors in the tracks.
The second, that the Romans hid the body, well, I ask, do the Romans need yet another challenge to their rule here in Jerusalem? It would not make sense as if this man Jesus is really believed to have come back from the dead as many have seen him do for Lazarus, it would be a powerful force that even the Romans can not stop. If they had the body, would not they produce it and say here is your Jesus? Would not the Pharisees do the same?
The last theory is so ridiculous it is not even plausible. The apostles steal the body? Why those cowards are still behind locked doors, hiding like children.
There is one other possibility which no one wants to say out loud. I am sure all are thinking about it. That possibility of course, is that Jesus DID come back from the dead. This possibility is becoming very plausible in my opinion. I have talked to a Mary Magdalene who said she witnessed this also. Yes I know she is only a woman, but if you could hear her voice, see her face.....Oh how I wished it were possible to send pictures to all as this was happening but we know that will never be possible,
This woman told me she felt an earthquake and I do remember feeling one just before I ummm passed out. This woman told me she saw an angel . The glow on her face, the excitement in her voice, something had to have happened. She remembers this angels words exactly. They were: "And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you"
.Dear Reader, I do not know what to think about all of this right now. I am trying to present what I have found as we go, but this I know, this is an ongoing story and I will follow it to the end. I have to admit, I am overwhelmed. Actually, I am also frightened. I have no idea where we are going with this, or what it means to me, to us as a nation.
These women apparently did go tell his followers as shortly afterward, just a moment,
One of my sources has informed me that that when the Roman soldiers went before the elders to explain what happened, the elders offered them a bribe to say the disciples stole the body and that they would assure them they would not be sentenced to die for allowing this. This would appear to dispel some of the theories mentioned earlier. The last one being mentioned now is that this man only fainted and they thought he was dead. It is being said that he recovered in the cold damp tomb and pushed the stone away. This is so ridiculous it is not worth consideration. Yet I have seen this body. This man could not even stand on his own by the time he got to the cross. Oh he was dead when they put him in this tomb. There is no doubt about that.
One reason these women I talked to were so excited, is that they claim they SAW JESUS and they said he was ALIVE. They said Jesus called out to them and told them "Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me".
The look on their face, the excitement in
their voice tells me they do believe they saw Jesus. From what he told
them, he will be seen again. I will be watching.
For the Jerusalem Daily
We have confirmed reports of at least five appearances of Jesus. We have already reported the appearance to one Mary Magdalene. We have also discovered the reason for Mary's devotion to this man. It has been confirmed that Mary was possessed with seven demons which this man Jesus cast out simply by telling them to leave.
One report has it that one of his apostles saw him that afternoon. This was Peter. We have not been able to interview this man to find out just what he saw. We will try later to do so.
Other reports we have had of people who have seen this Jesus have been from two men on the road to Emmaus. One "Cleopas" has confirmed this report. Cleopas reports he and the other man were waking along the road when a third man joined them and asked what they were talking about and why were they so sad. When they told him, him about "Jesus of Nazareth being a prophet and the chief priest and rulers delivering him to be condemned and crucified, they had hoped he was the promised Messiah who would redeem Israel. They told this stranger that some women from their group had said they saw angles and that the tomb was empty. It is then that the stranger said unto them: O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
This man then told them Moses and all the prophets foretold about him. Cleopas begged this man to stay with them longer. It was only later when he joined them for supper, and when this stranger broken bread and blessed it, that they recognized he was Jesus. More what's the word,. frightening? astounding? Well anyway this man, Jesus disappeared before their very eyes.
Oh this story gets even better. Read on my readers.
We now have a confirmed report Jesus has appeared to his most intimate followers, the apostles. According to one of the apostles, Jesus appeared to ten of them. Only Judas whom we reported on earlier and Thomas were not there. Once again, we have been informed that this Jesus referred to his body being real, not a ghost has some have suggested. He told these men to touch him. He reminded them that ghost or spirits do not have flesh and bones has he did. He then asked the same question any human man would...Do you have anything to eat. Oh yes, my readers. It does appear he is ALIVE
We are presently researching the scripture and will give a special report on what we find referring to what Jesus has told those who have seen him since he was placed in that now empty tomb concerning these, these extraordinary recent events.
For the Jerusalem Daily
Jerusalem Daily Special Report
"That the Scripture should be fulfilled. This statement has been used often for the...what's the word, "resurrected" Jesus. We will be taking a look at some of these "fulfillments" of Scriptures
The prophet Daniel stated that the Messiah would begin his public ministry 483 years after Jerusalem was ordered to be restored (Daniel 9:25-26). King Artaxerxes ordered this done according to the Hebrew priest Ezra. just about that long ago when Jesus started teaching in Galilee Furthermore, Daniel said the Messiah would be killed. It would appear that Jesus fits all of this prediction.
The prophet Micah said the Messiah would be born in an obscure village named it. Just as Micah has said, this Jesus was born in the very same village, Bethlehem (Micah 5:2). You may remember, that his mother and father lived in Nazareth but due to the degree of the government that all should return to their hometown for a census, they returned to this remote obscure village.
We have discovered that several kings came from the East to visit, and word has it to worship this child, Jesus. We have found that they brought expensive gifts to give to this child. Gold being one of them. The child's parents made a sudden trip to we believe Egypt when he was about 2 years old. This was just before King Herod ordered all the 2 year olds and under to be slaughtered.. This reporter can not remember just where he read it, but this too was predicted in Scripture.
The prophet Zechariah said
"And I said unto them, If ye
think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price
thirty pieces of silver. And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a
goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of
silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD."
Zechariah also said: "And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son."
400 years ago King David said this about the Messiah. "he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken."
Isaiah tells us that someone would prepare the way for the Messiah "The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God." We have found that just before Jesus began teaching, he was baptized by one John who was called the baptizer who used the same words, saying he was preparing the way of the Lord and making his paths straight. Witness at that baptism state they heard a loud voice saying "THIS IS MY SON IN WHOM I AM WELL PLEASED" They then report seeing a dove descend upon him. This "John the Baptist" lived off the land. He lived in the wilderness. Could this be the one Isaiah talked about? We have found out that when this man Jesus asked John to baptize him, John declared "There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose" and said Jesus was this man.
King David said this of the Messiah. "I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:"
Jesus was always using parables to teach spiritual truth. He told of the lost coin, Lost Sheep, a Pearl of Great Price, New Wine in Old Wineskins, an Unforgiving Servant, a Persistent Widow and many many more. Once again, this reporter has to admit, it does look more and more as if this man, Jesus did meet these predictions.
Again Isaiah said "Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped"
We have talked to several of the blind that Jesus made to see and several of the deaf that now hear because of this man, Jesus. Oh I know, many have said he planted normal hearing and seeing people so "they could be healed" but I have talked to one that was blind from birth. Readers, we can not fake that. This man who was still excited when he talked about it, said that when he was asked about said "Whether this man is a sinner or not, I don't know. What I do know is once I was blind, now I can see!" John the Baptist once sent some of his disciples to Jesus to ask if he was really the Messiah. Jesus simply told them to go back to John and report what they had seen: the lame could walk, the deaf could hear and the blind could see. That would be enough to remove all doubt. If it was good enough for John, should it not be good enough for us?
Readers, never before have we seen a man like this. I have seen Pharisees give large amounts of money to the temple but they sure make sure everyone knows it. I have seen long elaborate prayers made as loudly as they could so that all can hear it. Yet this man, Jesus did so many wonderful things, healed the lame, made the blind to see, cleansed lepers, yet the one thing we have found that is consistent. He told them not to tell anyone. Would you do that readers? Would I? Actually, to be honest, I would not because even now, I find myself wanting all to read the special reports I have been writing for the Jerusalem Daily
Lets look at only a few more of the predictions from the prophet Isaiah.
"He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth."
I have already reported that we talked to Malcus, the high priest's servant. Not only did Jesus tell his apostles to put up their swords, but he did replace Malcus' ear. (on a side note, he does have better hearing as he can now actually hear his wife when she wants him to take out the trash)
" Thus saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee".
We have seen
almost everyone turn on this man, and insist that one of the worse criminals
even to Israel be freed so that this innocent man could die. Why
even Herod placed a white robe on him and retuned him to Pilate stating he could
find no fault in him, and even placed white up him to emphasize that.
"I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting."
I have reported on the beatings and scourging Jesus suffered already. We also know many, including the chief priest spat upon him.
Again Isaiah said "As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:" I saw Jesus on the Via Della Rosa. Readers, if the cross did not kill him, I doubt if he would have survived the beatings. He did not even look human. We are told the Messiah would pay for our sin. Well, this reporter must come to the conclusion that our sin must have been great for this man, if he is the Messiah, to have gone though so much.
King David said: "For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet." and Zechariah added "And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn"
Dear reader, I have not heard of the Romans piercing the side of the condemned. I have only know of them to break the legs to hasten death. Yet, this Jesus....could God have assured that prophecy was fulfilled?
We know Jesus
was betrayed by one of his own apostles, one Judas Iscariot. This was
confirmed by another apostle who asked to be unidentified. In fact, Jesus knew
he was to be betrayed as he told that one would do so that night, yet he still
went to the garden. This was foretold by King David.
"Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted,
which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me."
Jesus often told of his death and that he would come alive again. One told me of some of his exact words tnat he would "lay down his life, that he might take it again" Why the very fact that the Priest insisted that they have a guard placed at the tomb is because Jesus said he would return from the dead. Even the mockers at his crucifixion realized this as they said "And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross". Although many claim he spoke about the actual temple, Jesus made it clear he referred to his body.
There is so much more.....but we will get to that later.

Jerusalem Daily EXCLUSIVE
This reporter has obtained an exclusive interview with Mary, the mother of Jesus. We have talked about many things from the time she first found out she was with child, on to today.
Reporter: It is claimed that you were a virgin when Jesus was born. Can you tell us about your feelings when you found this out? Please include how Joseph felt when he found out, and your family?
Mary: Although I sense that you too doubt it, I was just a young girl at the time. I just turned sixteen and I was frightened. I had realized I missed...well you know, we can not mention that time of month, I had not known any man in my life so it could not be.... but an angle came to me to tell me I would bear a son and I was to call him Jesus. I was so afraid, afraid no one would believe me that I had been a good girl. You know what they do to girls like that. I did not want to be stoned. I loved Joseph. I was so afraid he would leave me. I did not think there was a chance that he would believe that I did not fool around on him. Why at the time the most we did, (blushing) was kiss.
Mary continues: The angle was Gabriel. He told me things I never in my life imagined possible for "me". You know all the girls prayed that this could be them, that they would bear the Messiah. Let me tell you however, it was not easy to be THE one.
Reporter: Just what did Gabriel say to you?
Mary: (tears in her eyes) He said: " Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women." Gabriel went on to say: Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
Sir, "I" am not anyone. I am so unworthy of that honor. Surely there were many more women worthy of that honor. Why we are poor folks. I had no idea that we go back to the throne of David. I even asked Gabriel how this could happen as I had been a good girl. He told me that it was the Holy Spirit that would do it. The child I was carrying was to be the Son of God. Sir, I keep asking myself even today. Why "ME" My cousin Elizabeth bore a son a few months before I did. He was called John but why did not God chose her? She was so much more worthy then I. After hearing that Elizabeth was with child too, I went to see her. Do you know that as soon as she saw me, her baby quickened in her womb and said the very same thing that the angle told me? How did she know? It was not even evident that I was with child yet. I just knew that somehow, if this is what God wanted, HE would make a way. Still I was so afraid of what my new husband Joseph would say.
Reporter: How about your husband Joseph? Could you tell us more?
Mary: Oh he was very skeptical at first. I know he loved me because when he first found out, he was going to divorce me quietly. He could have made it public and there would have been a good chance I would have been stoned. However, the angle of the LORD appeared to him in a dream and told him what was happening. You do know the prophet Isaiah foretold this when he said "Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel".
Reporter: Tell me about his birth!
Mary: As you know, we had to travel to Bethlehem of Judea. It was a small town. It had only one inn, I know Joseph was very worried about me being that close to delivering the child but still we had to go. Oh he saved up every coin he could so we could get a room at the inn when we got there so I could be comfortable. Still, we got there very late. There was no room in the inn. Even though my husband begged the inn keeper, still there was none., The inn keeper at least found some room in a stable. He even moved some of the animals so they would not bother us. Sir...WHY? WHY? If my child was to be the king of kings, why was he born in a place like this? Why not a palace? Why was he not born to a princess or some other noble woman? Joseph and I had nothing to offer him. Nothing except love that is.
Reporter: That is an interesting question. Funny, but I do not intend to be sacrilegious, but I just though maybe that was the best place possible for was not Jesus called the LAMB of GOD? What better place for a lamb to be born then a stable?
Mary: Thank you sir. I have never thought of it that way.
Reporter: Tell me more:
Mary: Oh how well I remember that night. Shepherds came that night to worship my new child. They said they heard a host of angles rejoicing. They felt a deep peace after they were told not to be afraid as they brought tidings of great joy. I know Joseph and I felt great joy that night. Just to know our persois baby would be the savior of the world.
Reporter: You said "our" baby?
Mary: Oh yes. Joseph was the perfect step dad. He loved Jesus just as if he were his. He spent hours reading the scriptures to him. Jesus listened intently to every word. You do know the Torah tells fathers this: " And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
Joseph took this very seriously. Why I remember many a time he took Jesus to the carpenter shop. One time I remember....(as tears pour down her eyes) excuse me for a moment... I remember one time when Jesus was playing on the floor in the shop. He was playing with... (more tears) THREE NAILS. The sun light was pouring in the window. and although it did not mean anything then, I remember now that the shadow formed a cross on the back wall of the shop.
Reporter: (with tears in his eyes now too) How old was the child then?
Mary: He was about 3 years old. We had returned from Egypt shortly before. You do know we had to flee to Egypt after the kings from the East came. It was only because they gave our child precious gifts that we could afford to take him out of danger when king Herod ordered the babies to be murdered. Why when we first took Jesus to the temple on the eighth day, we could only afford the turtledove offering.
Joseph did work so hard to try to provide for us. Yet he still spent hours with Jesus teaching him the Torah. I have to admit, at times I was a bit envious. Joseph taught him well. When Jesus was twelve, he was asking questions way beyond most men, let alone boys his age. He stayed behind and give us a scare when we could not find him with us,
Reporter: Time is getting late and we need to move on. I do admit that this is all so fascinating. Could you tell us about the first wonder Jesus did?
Mary: Oh it was at a wedding. They had run out of wine and you know it would have been a disaster but I told them to do whatever Jesus asked . He told them to fill some vases with water and somewhere between that and giving it to the guest, it was made the best wine ever.
Reporter: We know Jesus taught many things. I wrote about the parables he told in yesterdays edition of the Jerusalem Daily. Could you tell me more about these teachings?
Mary: Sir, I am but a woman. I was not in the group when he taught these things often. May I suggest you talk to one of the apostles?
Reporter: That would be great. However, I am not sure if they would talk to me. I do not even know where they are right now.
Mary: I will talk to Peter or John. I am sure one of them will talk to you if I asked them to.
Reporter: That would be great, but before we leave, I have one more question, and I know it is a very hard one...
Mary: Say no more. I believe I know what it is. This last week was ever so hard. No mother, no father ever wants to see their child suffer. I remember back just over a week ago. How I wished that Jesus was going to be king now. How I wished he would have redeemed Israel then when he entered the city. Alas it was not to be. I can see now that the scripture foretold all of this. Oh yes it hurt to see him on that cross. It hurt far worse to know that he felt all alone. That he felt abandoned by even his real FATHER, God himself. Still I know it was not only for the nation of Israel, but it was for ME too. I know that I too had to be delivered from my sin and that it was only though Jesus that I could be. Still, in a very real way, I feel it was my sin that put him there. Yet the Joy of seeing him alive again was far beyond what I could ever tell.
Reporter: Mary, thank you so much for talking with me. I would like to talk to you again some time but I do have to get this report to the Jerusalem Daily before the deadline.
Mary: You are welcomed sir. I just want everyone to know what my son... well actually, I should say what Jesus has done for them. You see, Jesus called me "woman" as now he is no longer my "son" but he is my savior. I do believe that on that awful cross, he had to distance himself from me as his mother as I am still unworthy of all and I certainly do not want anyone to think I am anyone special. I want all of the credit to go where it belongs, to Jesus. I am only a vessel that was used. for God to accomplish His will.
Reporter: Again thank you for your time Mary.
