The hidden half of domestic violence

How to have eternal life

God's Faithfulness....From My Yours

1 Corinthians 1:9

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Very often in this ministry, I have proclaimed the LORD only to hear..."How do we know that is true" or "what if you have been brainwashed too"   Many times, those who have been hurt so much in the past, those who have been abused or are being abused will wonder that if what we say is so true, why are they hurting so much?   The worse that many of these people who are hurting so deeply have been hurt by those who proclaim to be...a Christian.

These are all good questions.  I for one appreciate them.  You see, satan will never tell us what it cost to serve him...there is always.. The Hidden Cost...of SIN!   God will always tell us what it cost to belong to Him.

What does it cost to belong to God?  For salvation...NOTHING!  We do not have to pay anything to become a child of God..for Jesus paid it all and all to Him we owe.   Now...after we accept Christ, there is a time that we grow enough to want even want to be His disciple.  This will cost us everything.  Jesus told us that we will suffer for His name sake.  We will be made fun of, we will be ridiculed.  He also promises life more abundantly.  In the last two days, I have had two precious people ask me: "how do I know that what I tell them is true".  The question I how do I tell them?  My friend, if you are reading this and you do not know  Jesus, you do have someone running interference to keep you from trusting Jesus. You do have someone that will try to block the signals that Jesus is whispering.....YOUR name.

John 10:10 tells us:  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

How do we convince you that this is true?  I ask would you tell someone that has been blind all their life what a sunset looks like?

How do we tell one that has never heard what a sympathy sounds like?

How can we tell them the joy of hearing a child say...I love you?

My friend, these are all things you have to experience to understand.

How do we know that what we say about Jesus is true?  Oh we can give all the facts..we can tell about prophecy that has been fulfilled such as the birth of Christ, and we can tell all the correct things from the Word of have to experience it to know it.

Both of these precious people expressed fear of what would happen if they called upon Jesus. Both were afraid they would regret it.  My friend,  I have never regretted my chose to become a child of the King of Kings.  I only regret that I did not do it sooner.

For those who are afraid they would be making a mistake...let me remind you...God give us free will. He gives us...choice.  satan does not.  satan blocks the signals of God's Love for us so that we will not believe it.  God never forces us to trust Jesus..before...or after we call His name.  We could turn and walk away from Him anytime we want so...I precious friend..what is keeping YOU from calling HIS

HE IS only....a whisper away!

Now what I have written was not the original intention of this message but it is what the LORD wanted me to say.  There is no greater joy then to hear someone call His name. It is the only thing that will result in the angels of heaven rejoicing.

My original intention was to tell you about the faithfulness of God.  I will do that after I tell you about a song that means so much to me.

Even through lonesome fear
Through ever pain, ever tear
There's a God whose been faithful to me

When my strength was all gone
When my heart had no song
Still in love He's proved faithful to me

Every word HE has promised is true
What I thought was impossible
I've seen my God do.

He's been faithful, faithful to me
Looking back His Love and mercy I see

Though in my heart I have questioned,
even failed to believe. Yet
He has been faithful, faithful to me

When my heart looked away
though may times I could not pray
Still my GOD, He was faithful to me

The days I spent so selfishly
Reaching out for what seems to be
Even there God was faithful to me

Every time I come back to Him
He is waiting with open arms and I see once again

He's been faithful, faithful to me
Looking back His Love and mercy I see

Though in my heart I have questioned,
even failed to believe. Yet
He has been faithful, faithful to me

You see my friend, this song is so true.  For those who have read  ken's story, you know that God was so faithful to protect me from....myself so very often.  He was there even when I left HIM!  He provided for my needs even when I was ignoring HIM...when I had turned my back on Him...but HE was there...drawing me back to HIM...letting me go just so far...and more!  You see,  God has promised that HE who has began a good work in us...will be faithful to complete it.   This being said, I have to say also that this does not always mean that we will return to God and live happily ever after here on earth.  1 Corinthians 11:29 and 30 tells us    "For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.    For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep."

The use of the term...sleep shows that that person will still have eternal life..but they were called home early.  You see, the law of the harvest applies to Christians too:

Galatians 6:7  Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

If we want good things  .we need to sow good things.  How do we do this?  Well for one, most of us have a tendency to try to do things to please God. Please hear this.  We can not do anything to earn more of God's love.  We can do nothing to earn more if His favor.  We have that already as HIS kids...How do we do it then?  Well, we need to focus on LOVING HIM.  We need to fall in love with Jesus.  How does this help?   For those who have children, do you feed them because you have to...or because you want to?  Let me use a personal example.  My wife is a great cook.  She often cooks things I like and does other things that I really appreciate. I asked her once why she did it.  I asked her if she did it because she was afraid of me?  Her answer was NO....of course not.  I then asked her if she did it so I would DO more for her.   Again the answer was no...why then does she do it?    She does it because she loves me.  I do things for her because I love her.  My friend, this is what we should to with Jesus too.  If we love Him, we will want to do things that please Him.  When we serve God because we love Him, we will see far more results then if we serve Him because we think we have to!

Yet, we will still have trials.  We will still have pain. Many of the trails we have serve only to help us to trust Him more. He has proven so faithful in the past, yet we so often doubt for today.  I was talking to my adopted daughter a few moments ago and she said this was like having a baby.  Sure, there is a lot of pain....but the joy that follows....of seeing new life.  Of seeing that baby grow.

My you know HIM?  Do you love HIM?  If HIS
