The hidden half of domestic violence

How to have eternal life

HELP...I've Fallen and I Can't Get Up

HELP...I've fallen and I Can't Get Up We have
seen and heard the ads. We see an elderly person lying
on the floor...unable to reach the phone to summon
help. The phrase has gained so much popularity that we
see it on tee shirts and posters everywhere. The
original ad was for a monitor for those who often live
alone and would have no one to check on them. It alerts
a central monitoring station to send help if the
monitor they are wearing indicates trouble so they can
send help.

HELP...I've fallen and I Can't Get Up!

Oh what a helpless feeling.

HELP...I've fallen and I Can't Get Up! How tragic if help does not
arrive on time. Many have even died needlessly from thirst because they could not help
themselves. HELP...I've fallen and I Can't Get Up!

As tragic as this maybe there is something even far more tragic. WE have
ALL fallen and we could not get up. The Bible tells
us we have All sinned and come short of the Glory of
God. (Romans 3:23)

We have FALLEN short of the mark
God has set. HELP...I've fallen and I Can't
Get Up! Much as in the ads...where a monitor alerts
the right people and help is on the way...we have a
monitor. Jesus Christ, God's only Son saw our plight and He came
to live a human being and then He died to take our
place. He knew we would not be able to help
ourselves...He knew we could not get up.

EACH of us has fallen. We ALL need help to get up. Much as some of those
that do fall have died where they have fallen...we
WILL die where we have fallen too. Romans 6:23 tells
us that the penalty for our sin...for falling is
Death. We will be separated for all eternity from
God...UNLESS.... We activate the monitoring device.

Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord
shall be saved." He will lift you up!

HELP...I've Fallen and I Can't Get Up...We have all fallen in
the miry clay of SIN yet there is hope...2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness
of God in him. Jesus is our monitor! He is watching listening, waiting for that call. He wants so much to lift us up out of the miry clay of SIN.

What must we do to activate this "monitor” All we need
do is whisper a call for help... reach out to Him
and He will come all the way from heaven to lift you
up. Do it TODAY...this MOMENT if you have not done
so.... We never know when it may be too late.. Hebrews
9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but
after this the judgment:

HELP...I've Fallen and I Can't Get Up BUT Jesus Christ will LIFT you up
and set your feet on the solid ROCK to
stay. Psalm 40:2 He brought me up also out of an horrible
pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a
rock, and established my goings.

Love Lifted Me
Words by James Rowe
Music by Howard E. Smith
1912

Rowe and Smith wrote this song in Saugatuck, Connecticut. According to Rowe's daughter:
"Howard E. Smith was a little man whose hands were so knotted with arthritis that you would wonder how he could use them at all, much less play the piano. I can see them now, my father striding up and down humming a bar or two and Howard E. playing it and jotting it down."

Ephesians 2:4-5
4.  "But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5.  Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ,
(by grace ye are saved;)"

I was sinking deep in sin, far from the peaceful shore,
Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more,
But the Master of the sea, heard my despairing cry,
From the waters lifted me, now safe am I.

Love lifted me!
Love lifted me!
When nothing else could help
Love lifted me!

All my heart to Him I give, ever to Him I'll cling
In His blessèd presence live, ever His praises sing,
Love so mighty and so true, merits my soul's best songs,
Faithful, loving service too, to Him belongs.

Love lifted me!
Love lifted me!
When nothing else could help
Love lifted me!

Souls in danger look above, Jesus completely saves,
He will lift you by His love, out of the angry waves.
He's the Master of the sea, billows His will obey,
He your Savior wants to be, be saved today.

Love lifted me!
Love lifted me!
When nothing else could help
Love lifted me!

LOVE....It is a recurrent theme in Shattered Men.  We are told to love the unlovable.  Many of our messages are based on love.
