Face to face...we often have heard this term. It often indicates a closeness for we can not see each other face to face without being in each other's presence.

I have known many that have gotten to know each other with letters, e-mails, through post, on the telephone and other "impersonal” means but nothing compared to meeting...face to face.

Oh often it does not matter what the other "looks" like for if we have grown to love them by these other means, it does not really matter.  As the day approaches to meet..face to face...we grown anxious...we long for that meeting. 

Just for a moment, think about that special someone...the one that you would like to meet face to face.  Could it be a parent?, a wife or a husband?  Perhaps it is a child?  Oh it is not wrong to long to meet any of these face to face..but I contend that if it was anyone...anyone other then our LORD JESUS CHRIST...something is wrong!

You see, He is the one that redeemed us..the one that payed the price for our sin...and someday if we have trusted HIM for salvation., we will behold HIM...face to face. 

John the Baptist longed to see the one whose pathway he was making straight...he bowed before the Lord saying he was not worthy to even latch the LORD's sandals.    Paul longed to meet Christ..face to face.  He said it would be gain for him to be present with the LORD.

Do YOU long to see HIM?  If not, there is a problem.  Perhaps you have made Jesus your saviour...but not your LORD?  Perhaps you are working for the LORD?  Trying to please HIM?  Have  you succeeded?  Or do you feel you are spinning your wheels?  If so..STOP working for the LORD....and just start LOVING HIM! 

You see my friend, I do things to please my wife and she does things to please me, not out of "duty" but because we love each other.  We need to do the things that are pleasing to the LORD because we LOVE HIM...not out of duty or to try to get on His "good side"

We often can find out what someone loves by what they talk about most of the time.  Where is the LORD in your conversations?  We also know what is on someone's mind by seeing what they value the most.

Matthew 6

19   Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

20   But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

Face to face..I shall behold HIM.....

Do YOU long to see the MASTER face to face?  If not...He is waiting for you right now...waiting for you to get your priorities right ...waiting for you to whisper HIS name....

If you take but one step toward the Master..HE will come all the rest of the way for you....and HIS arms will be open wide.

We will all someday behold HIM...we can do it as HIS child...or we can do it at the White Throne Judgment where we will be standing alone...condemned for all eternity  We are not promised another day..but we are all promised one life..and after this the judgment (Heb 9:27)  

Which one will it be?  The White Throne..or the judgment seat of Christ where our works are judged to see what rewards we will have to return to our beloved? 

My LORD...if anyone is reading this message that does not know YOU...stir their hearts..whisper their name in a way that they know YOU are calling them and give them the faith to whisper YOUR name in return.  If there is another that has not fallen in LOVE with YOU...help them to do so..so they will also long...to behold YOU..face...to face!
