Men
The hidden half of domestic violence
$1.98
$1.98, the price of Minnie Peales hat
(this may not be the actual price on the tag but lets say it is) Every time
Minnie appeared on stage, those around her knew the price of her hat.
Not everything today has the price so clearly marked. When we go to the super
market, we often have to look for the price of the item we want. I am sure most
of us do look at the price.
Often if we need a new car, we will go to a dealership and find a car we like
and then say..."how much" We want to know the bottom line...the final cost of
that car. Often the salesman tries to keep that bottom line hidden. He is not
the only one that keeps the price ..the bottom line hidden as we will see
shortly.
Often when we do not know the bottom line and sign the contract anyway, we find
ourselves in some very serious trouble. "We" may have been the one that signed
that contract, but we may not be the only one paying the price for getting in
over our head. Our family pays too...pays by not getting that vacation they
looked forward to, or not getting things they may actually need...cloths when
the old ones are wearing out... or sometimes it is even worst....we realize we
are unable to pay our debt and have to declare bankruptcy. All because we did
not ask or did not insist on HOW MUCH WILL IT COST. It did not have the bottom
line price on the tag. Our eyes were bigger then our wallet but we signed
anyway. Oh they were only 60 EASY payments of.....and NO money down...just the
pleasure of driving away in that shiny new car.
We all know salesmen who hide the cost of the product they are selling. There is
one super salesman that always hides the price.
SIN has a price but we are never told the price before we sign for it. It is
made to look so good. Look....enjoy life...it will not hurt you. It is fun. You
will have loads of friends...happiness, success, pleasure. but seldom do we even
ask what the price is for this commodity. We are looking at the shiny red paint,
the fancy interior, the V8 under the hood, all the whistles and thrills. BUT
what is the price?
We have heard of people that many declared as "morally bankrupted" My friend, I
too found I was morally bankrupted. I too found that I could not pay that bottom
line price SIN cost.
You see that sin that you are thinking about right now has a price tag on it.
The price is always the same. Always more then we bargained for.
Oh you say you have not bought this sin? Oh yes you have my friend, We have all
made this purchase without counting the cost:
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
When I was a kid, I went to the state fair and went into a side show that I
thought had no admission charge. I was wrong. It had a price and I found out at
the end. I ended up walking several miles home that day for I did not ask "how
much" until it was time to pay.
What is the cost of sin? Oh we often think we an pay...but Gods Word tells us
what satan will not...it declares the price of sin:
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death;
Now can you afford it my friend? Still this is not the only price we pay for
sin. This is the final price but we pay here too! At times we "Christians" may
think that since we have had the price paid for our sin, we can sin and not pay
for it ourselves. Really? Think again.
Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth,
that shall he also reap.
You see my friend, SIN does demand a price be paid here while we are alive now.
Drinking too much? Too often? Have you ever checked the price this often calls
for? From broken homes to broken bodies laying on the highways and some spending
decades in prison.
Drugs? You should spend a few days with me
on my job my friend...fried brains from drug use.
Sexual immorality? Perhaps you should read some of the messages here in this
group...or if not for confidentiality sit in on some of the chats we have with
people. You say there is no harm done? How about the day your wife...your
husband may be told they have A.I.D.S. even thought they are faithful to you?
Women...how about if you were told you are pregnant and you know your husband is
not the father? Men...what if your child is not being carried by your wife? It
happens all the time my friend...and the sinner is not the only one paying this
price.
There are so many other ways SIN costs...and often cost those around you. YOU may
be willing to pay the price...but are they? Should they?
SIN...it always hides the price. It always demands a payday.
My friend, are you still bankrupted? Come to the one that is willing to pay your
debt for SIN.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; BUT the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 John 2
1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any
man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for
the sins of the whole world.
If you have trusted Christ for your salvation and have fallen into sin, there is
a verse just for you:
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our
sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
$1.98 The price on Minnie Peales hat.
DEATH The price for SIN.
My friend, the price was paid in full when a shout rang out 2000 years ago..."IT
IS FINISHED "
http://www.shatterdmen.com/IT%20IS%20FINISHED.htm
This price HAS to be accepted before the debt is due...Hebrews 9:27 And as it is
appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
There is NO PLACE in Gods Word that even suggest we or anyone else can pay our
debt after it is called due..after we die.
2 Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in
the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time;
behold, now is the day of salvation.)
COME TO HIM TODAY...HE is waiting...waiting for YOU!
